Q’s with the cast of Government Inspector: Fergus Craig

Moving swiftly through the cast list as it’s a big cast! Next up is Fergus Craig. You may have seen him in RSC’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream or on TV – Star Stories (Channel 4); Popatron (BBC 2); Sorry I’ve Got No Head; Extras; The Old Guys; After You’ve Gone; Jonathan Creek; EastEnders (BBC); FM (ITV2).

Tell us about your character
I play Bobchinksy. He’s enthusiastic, naive and a bit thick.

Favourite word?
Pocket

Proudest moment?
Winning the Northumberland Under 13s badminton championship in 1992.

If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Gold bullion.

If 28 hour days existed, what would you do with the extra four hours?
I’d like to say exercise but realistically I’d probably watch telly.

Favourite holiday?
Tanzania

Weirdest quirk?
I still watch Neighbours.

Favourite play?
Genuinely – The Government Inspector. Although that could change.

If you had one super power, what would it be?
Flight.

Favourite midnight snack?
Cadbury’s chocolate trifle – an incredibly underrated dessert. I don’t understand why it isn’t available in every shop. Including clothes shops.

Government Inspector runs from 3 June  – 9 July. To see Fergus star alongside The Mighty Boosh‘s Julian Barratt, Smack the Pony‘s Doon Mackichan, Young Vic’s The Glass Menagerie‘s Kyle Soller plus many others… buy your tickets now!
