Q’s with the cast of Government Inspector: Buffy Davis

Buffy Davis in rehearsals for Government Inspector

For the lovely people who keep coming to see our works, you may recognize Buffy from when she was last here with us performing also a Richard Jones work – Annie Get Your Gun.  She’s also performed in Rose Tattoo and  Sunday in the Park with George at the National Theatre, plus a whole host of TV shows and movies (plus video game voiceovers!)

Tell us about your character
I play 2 characters in the show. Avdotya, the housekeeper of the mayor – she adores him but is rather less fond of his wife! Avdotya chooses not to speak, though you ought to know she is celebrating her birthday! The locksmith’s wife on the other hand is very verbose….

Proudest moment?
Reaching the end of that courageous climb up the Eiffel Tower.

If you could have a room full of any one thing, what would it be?

If 28 hour days existed, what would you do with the extra four hours?

Favourite holiday?
Nothing can beat the paradise that is Hawaii – surfing and skiing all in one day.

Weirdest quirk?
Inability to stand still.

Favourite play?
Anything starring Buffy Davis.

If you had one super power, what would it be?
Telling the truth – especially on questionnaires.

Favourite midnight snack?
Once in a blue moon… green cheese.
