Ashley Zhangazha is currently playing Arthur Miller in Ah, Wilderness! at the Young Vic. Here are his answers to our 11 Questions…

Can you describe your character in Ah, Wilderness! in three words?
Loud. Brash. Melodic.

What are you usually doing 10 minutes before the show begins?
Panicking! No, in all seriousness, usually listening to music.

What is your favourite play (seen, read or worked on)?
Fences by the late, great August Wilson.

What is your favourite midnight snack?
A peanut butter, jam and banana sandwich.

What are you most passionate about?
Manchester United.

If you could be in a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Books.

Favourite holiday you’ve ever been on?
New York – an amazing city.

Favourite city and why?
London – it’s rich in diversity and opportunities, and it’s home.

What is your favourite song?
Sir Duke by Stevie Wonder. I challenge anyone to listen to it and not feel the uncontrollable impulse to move.

If you could have been born in any era, which would it be and why?
The here and now is cool for me!

If you could have any one supernatural power which would you choose and why?
It would be pretty awesome to be able to fly. Who wouldn’t want to be superman.
