Marc Antolin is currently playing the Law Student and the Flogger in The Trial at the Young Vic. Here are his answers to our 11 Questions…

Can you describe your character in The Trial in three words?
Sadistic. Violent. Thug.

What are you usually doing 10 minutes before the show begins?
Having a wee, brushing my teeth and combing my beard (not at the same time).

What is your favourite play (seen, read or worked on)?
Jerusalem. Mark Rylance’s performance was astonishing.

What is your favourite midnight snack?
An omelette and a glass of whiskey.

What is your favourite word?
Cwtch. It’s Welsh for an affectionate hug.

If days were 28 hours long, what would you do with the 4 extra hours?
Catch up with everything I want to watch on Netflix.

If you could be in a room full of any one thing, what would it be?
Books. There is always something new to learn.

Favourite city and why?
London. It’s where I live, all my brilliant friends are here and there’s so much I still haven’t seen and done.

What is your favourite song?
Dire Straits by Brother in Arms.

If you could have been born in any era, which would it be and why?
Born early 40s so I could have been a teen in the 50s (preferably in America). I’m a rockabilly at heart and love the whole diner culture.

If you could have any one supernatural power which would you choose and why?
The ability to morph into anything.
